Airnesco develops and produces the Bore Cleaning Systems that clean all types of smooth, rifled, chromed and steel barrels and the Industrial Tube Cleaning Systems which have been supplied globally. The barrel cleaning system can be supplied to clean barrels from 25mm up to 203mm and a wide variety of steel and nylon brushes are available to suit. The industrial tube cleaning systems can be supplied to clean straight tubes from 12,5 mm to 336 mm, curved from 20 mm to 336 mm and can be used brass or plastic brushes (replacement of steel brushes). The system can boast one-man, maintenance free, speedy operation and can be transported anywhere in its sturdy container. An air-powered, fast, effective and one-man operation are the major advantages of this superior management equipment.

The system has been designed and developed to meet three requirements:

  • Removal of firing deposits
  • Removal of inhibiting oil
  • Application of oil to a cleaned barrel

Bore Cleaning System for Large Gauge

This system is available for barrels from the size of 57mm to 203mm. A free standing filter lubricator is supplied along with a foot valve. A carry bag can be supplied as an alternative and depending on the type of deposit, a selection of brushes and accessories are available.

Brushes available are:

  • Cleaning - with steel tufts for a deep clean in all rifled and smooth bore barrels.
  • Squeegee - which has rubber blades for removal of oil or preservatives
  • Oiling - for applying oil or fluid to the barrel
  • Distributing - for depositing oil or CCS (Copper Control Solution) along the length of the barrel by prefilling the fluid into a chamber inside the brush for even and thorough distribution.
  • A brush designed specifically for cleaning mortar weapons is available that ensures the protection of the firing pin and a thorough clean throughout the barrel. Brushes to clean the chamber section of the barrel are also available for most sizes.

Bore Cleaning System for Small Gauge

This system is suitable for barrels between 25 mm and 40 mm. The filter lubricator can be located in the lid of the container and no foot valve is necessary. A carry bag can be supplied as an alternative and depending on the type of deposit, a selection of brushes and accessories are available. Application with the distribution brush ensures that the minimum amount of fluid is used to achieve the maximum results. Application is fast and can be repeated as many times as necessary within a short space of time. The logistical footprint of the fluid is minimal and does not require an additional disposal chain. The Copper Control Solution complements the Airnesco Bore Cleaning System to provide a wet cleaning solution for barrels 30mm upwards.

Industrial Tube Cleaning Systems

The Industrial Tube Cleaning product range has been in production for more than 50 years and provides high quality, air operated, inexpensive cleaning solutions for most tube cleaning applications.

The Ferret uses an exclusive two-way vibratory action to propel the brush through the tube without the need for manual pulling or pushing. At the end of the tube the action is reversed automatically and the brush returns to the operator. The Ferret can be used in Vertical or Horizontal Shell Boilers, Fire Tubes, Waste Heaters and all tubes that have deposits.  A wide range of Brushes can be tailored on request.
